Third Time DUI

A third DUI conviction in Clearwater is a serious offense with serious penalties. If you are faced with a third DUI within a 10 year period, Clearwater classifies it as a Felony. However, even if more than 10 years has passed since your last DUI conviction from any state or location, the costs are great and the consequences are still severe. In Clearwater, as a result of a third DUI, you will be required to pay a fine between $2,000.00 and $5,000.00. That amount will double if your blood or breath alcohol level is 0.15 or greater or there is a minor in the vehicle. You could potentially serve up to 12 months in jail. Your driver's license will be revoked by the court for a minimum of 6 months and you will serve a probationary term of up to 1 year with the Salvation Army Correctional Services. Your vehicle will be immobilized for 10 days and will be mandated to have an ignition interlock device installed for 2 years. The court may require you to perform 50 hours of community service and attend a Victim Impact Panel sponsored by Mothers Against Drunk Driving. An arrest for a third DUI in Clearwater is no joking matter. Call our attorneys immediately at 727-324-4105 to get the help you need.
